Instrumental Music

Does your student love to sing or perform?  Would you like them to grow in their musical understanding and/or confidence?

If you answered yes to either of these questions, we would like to invite your student to be a part of the Instrumental Program! Students receive weekly one-on-one lessons with our Music Tutors.

Please find all the information below.  If you have any further questions, please feel free to email: office@tsvcc.qld.edu.au

We invite your student/s to participate in the Instrumental Program at Townsville Christian College. The College currently offers tuition in piano, guitar (acoustic and electric), violin, drums and voice (singing).

Not all instruments are suitable for all students due to their physical size, weight and technical demands. As a general guide, the instruments for certain ages are:

  • Prep and Year 1: piano or voice
  • Years 2 and above: piano, voice, guitar, violin, drums

Instrumental lessons occur for 8 weeks each term.

Costs (per student, per instrument):

  • A $50 deposit is required to enroll your child in the program for the year.
  • $25 per week for a 30 minute lesson; which equates to $200 per term.
  • Depending on the instrument chosen, your student may also require a music book, which costs around $25.  (Details will be provided by the allocated instrumental teacher after enrolment.)
  • Some instruments can be hired directly from the College.  Please email directly for more information: office@tsvcc.qld.edu.au

Please note: Students will not be accepted into the Instrumental Program if College fees are not up-to-date.

Details:

Students will be enrolled in the instrumental program after the initial deposit ($50) is paid. Each term’s fees ($200) will be charged to your College account and must be paid by the end of the term. Students will remain enrolled in the instrumental program for the entirety of 2024. If you would like to withdraw your child this needs to be put in writing and given to the College Office, otherwise fees will be charged for the following term.

To enrol for Term 2 2024, the form below must be completed, along with the aforementioned payment, by April 15th, 2024.

In the case of student absences for lessons, instrumental tutors will endeavour to provide “catch up” lessons, up to 2 per term.
